Is RTI still alive? I have tried calling them several times over the past two weeks, and every time I get the old 'all reps busy...leave a message...' response. I've now left 4 messages and have not received one call back. I've also tried calling in the middle of the day and night to no avail. Even at 2:30AM EST, I get 'all reps are busy helping other customers...'

What gives? Spring break? I also notice that the web site hasn't been updated in almost 2 years. Does anyone know the status of this company? Are they still alive?

RTI is still in business. After almost 4 mos. of not shipping any product everyone is very busy building new product to new specifications. We have had no problem getting through and have received two shipments of the newly revamped products. The new remotes work alot better than the originals. Hang in there.

Tell us more about the new version of the remote.

Is it a new design, or just internal changes?

Will it be compatible with existing IRF6 etc?

They are sourcing new LCD screens from a new vendor for better reliability. There are also much brighter. Improved the charger powere converter interface and made some minor changes to the RF section. No the range has not increased but it does seem to work alot better. All of these were basically QC issues and they had to bite the bullet and make the changes. The T2 Pro is still in the works but no date for the release. Everything is still compatible with the IRF6.

Is there any hope for current T2 owners for upgrades or tradeins? There is a well of loyalty out there among owners of the T2 who would be totaly happy if the problems with the current unit were fixed. 5/4/02 I emailed this upgrade trade in question to RTI, I will post any reply that they send (wishful thinking!)
