RTI is getting alot of bad press on Remote Central. I have had mine for about 1 1/2 years and everything works great. I was one of the first to get one, and of course I got one of the early batches with the really weak RF signal. Since my exchange I have not had a problem. I am worried that the company is on its last legs or selling out, or something. I would like to add another RTI Remote to my upstairs Home Theatre but am being a little careful because of the comments posted here. If they do go under, I am sure someone else will pick up the pieces ( I hope). It is just too nice of remote to go into the garbage.

The question I have, is there another remote that will work with all the add ons. IRF-6, power sensors etc. Lexicon maybe?

Do you have a range of serial numbers for units considered "early"? I am having RF problems that may be due to weak transmitting from the T2.

PS: I moved my antenna to a position in my theater room where it is in line of sight to my main seat. Very few transmision failures now. It was partly blocked by a row of books on top of my RPTV which should not have affected the signal, I think, but it seems to have.

I eliminated all rf issues by installing a BNC (RADIO SHACK) connector in place of the skinny coax. You should make sure the connector is grounded to the case (use a Dremmel tool to scrape off the paint and while you're at it widen the notch in the circuit board to clear the connector). Then have someone make up a cable with BNC connectors. Ordinary coax does the trick (RG-59/u).
