We are custom installers and have purchased over 100 RTI remotes in the last year. Of course, we have returned over 50 defective units that either did't work at all, had bad screens or the output was so low you might as well stick an IR repeater on the end of the T2. I have to say however, we've kept coming back for more grief because the software, although not perfect is really very good. Now, we can't even get them...the've been backordered since mid-november. Ultimately, the RTI T2 is a bad piece of hardware sold by a bad company.

Have you found a workaround for the low output? Is this something that the manufacturer has even acknowledged?

The RTI T2 is an awesome peice of hardware sold by a small company. It leads to having a product so in demand that it sort of runs away from you. I suspect that they are trying to make rapid changes in the makup and size of their company so as to keep up with their ideas. I personally have only found problems with codes not IR strenght. I have even had the output from the T2 to be to high so as to reach IR repeaters it wasn't supposed to. That causes alot of problems. Have you ever tried to install a Crestron?? Just as much of a mess an more trouble shooting to get it to work. "To whom much is given, much is required"
