anyone know of any codes for a denon soundbar.....I didn't even know they made them!!!

Which model are you looking for... I see two model in Denon's CI portal...
FS-5 and FS-3

In the past when I have programmed a remote for the FS-3 model I would use the auto power on by source signal as my on command. Basically powering on another device and selecting that input on the Sound Bar would be the On command. Then you the SB Power command for Power Off.

I don't have an FS-5 for testing, but have you checked to see if an input command will power the unit on?
