i got job i did this week w/ T2B and RP1,a sammy 55" 6300 ( which is controllled standalone), yammy 665, sony bd and moto fios box w/ a z2 off the yammy. nothing crazy but its killing me. i had the media rm and zone 2 working fine for a few days, then went back to add a sony bd which was working for an hour or two. i proceeded to add a cd button in standalone that shuts tv off w a system macro of yammy on, input audio 2.

if i remember the cd works fine, but i also added a tuner page and on the homepage put a button for tv off because the lady likes to turn it off when listening to music. so......when i press cd, everything is fine, but when i nav to homepagfe mto turn tv off w a standalone macro to turn tv off it also turns the sony bd off??? i checked it like 5 times. tv off button is standalone, and has a macro on button of sam lcd a950 discrete power off. there is no way sammy and sony have same code is there?????????

It is possible, but unlikely. You can check the codes in the IR Library manager.

Have you updated the RP-1?

If you want to send m the file, I'll take a look at it. There may be something you are overlooking.

Or, the Bluray is set to shut off when a signal is lost (which is happening when you shut the TV). SAMSUNGS DO THAT.

Mike, I think the problem is related to (I think it's called) CEC, with HDMI there is a control wire that links components and allows one to control the other. Have a look in the menu of each component and make sure it's switched off.
That should solve your problem.

CEC is the 1st thing I would look at when stuff goes sideways. I always turn it off...
