I did a search and couldn't find the thread. I remember seeing someone post a link for a consumer site for RTI that we can direct our clients to for purchasing replacement batteries.

Anyone have that link?

Regards,

Jeff

The customer can call RTI and order them and have them shipped direct.  They can also order replacement charging bases as well.  This saved me a couple hours of driving just 2 days ago.

I just stopped in a local Batteries Plus today and asked if they carried a battery similar to the RTI's battery. They do! They actually had a lot of customers come in asking about those batteries so now they stock them. Retail is $39 but you can setup an account to get them cheaper. I like this option more than being without a remote for a couple of days.

You can make service call money off the customer who buys their own battery's direct, when they break the delicate battery connector off the remote motherboard.

Fine by me! Sometimes it's easier to send someone to pick up and install a battery then it is for me to drive an hour, on the weekend, to fix something 90% of the population could do on their own. If they break it then they buy a new remote.

I found it somewhat amusing that Batteries Plus had so many customers looking for these batteries they should carrry them.
