I am having trouble learning in the codes for a Windows Media Remote. Certain commands work fine, but others do not. For example, the transport buttons and menu buttons seem to work fine, but the number keys and the directional buttons hiccup when I learn them in with the IR learner. On the remote they are not toggle keys, but I have been reading that they may be? Should they be read in as toggle buttons?

Thanks

There are several code sets in the Mega List for the media centers

I did an Integra awhile back and it was toggle bit, and the remote was a standard media center remote

check the mega list search..."media pc" "media center" "home media pc"

there should be plenty of codes.

What is the "mega list" I've dug all over and cat find codes. All mine work except for the rewind, oddly enough.

The patch works great, I just dont remember what I did with it. Glack, since you have it, you should post it in the RTI section?

The Mega List is the IR list for RTI created by Installers for Installers. It codes learned in the field, then sent in to the Mega List Maintainence Guy who adds it to the list, then when there are enough codes added the list is released in a new version...Currently its on 18 with a beta 19 available

here is a link to the RTI Mega List Group

Codes (in .cml or Hex) can be sent to rtimegalist at gmail dot com

the "patch" is just a registry change, isn't it?

Yes it is. It eliminates the toggling command. I have it somewhere... If no one finds it

It's at the bottom of the page under IR Toggle.

Why do you have to yell at us? Do you think we are all hard of hearing? Or do you just want to make yourself heard?

I learned the commands from a MCE remote control (Vista version) using the IR pro

I also downloaded the patch on the Autonomic site linked above

the codes for sleep work fine: have not tested other commands yet
