Did anyone hear that there is a 2-way driver being written for the apple tv? I could really use a native home network itunes solution.

Also I'd like to get comments from anyone who has used the 2-way driver for controlling pandora on a onkyo nr series a/v receiver.

Better off to just use a Sonos player with a itouch & free app?

You could control SONOS with Nevo these days for God's sake. As for an Appple TV module, RTI has deemed that would be too useful of an addition and will put that on the bottom. Seriously though, I think it's difficult to control the interface because there is a lack of code aviailable (cooperation) from Apple. It requires A GREAT deal of time and testing. I have to imagine that Autonomic will have one before the end of the year.

You are quite right there sir, and I think RTI should hurry up and despatch those developpers kits to their respective distributors and even super-dealer, I'm sure that way we'd have more drivers available.

The DAAP protocol that Apple uses is widely publicized. Just Google DAAP and you will see all the control parameters. I don't think they need cooperation from Apple.

I'm not talking about Apple's technology, I am talking about the schematics. It doesnt matter if they need or want Apples cooperation - they are not going to get any. What drivers has RTI come up with that have been proprietary in nature from a non-business partner? If it were easy it would be done all ready. Just because UPnP is widely publicized doesnt mean you can come up with a Sonos module easily. It requires testing without working with the company itself. Kind of like reverse enginerring the control and feedback.

the onkyo pandora solution isnt really a good solution at this point.
so far from what i got . . . its all controlled from the tv screen
you do get meta data of whats playing on the rti remote,
but you cant go through stations on remote screen.

also its very very slow . .
