On a T4 that I've programmed for a client, I would like to be able to display the the local time on the weather page for the location, be it another state or overseas.
I'm thinking that it can't be done (unfortunately!), as the only parameter to set the time is in the XP-8 properties.

You can do this. If you look at your Properties on the T4. You should have a Clock tab. Change this to your secondary time zone. Now create a button and select the "Top" Clock variable. The first Clock variable is for the local device and the second Clock variable is the XP8. I tested this with a K4 and it works.

You can load multiple clock drivers, but you cant change any of them from the default time set in the XP8

You can however link to on line clocks and just display the page in a small viewer [Link: time.gov]

Clock
The Clock driver makes the XP-8 system clock time available as a set of system variables. These variables can be used to display the time on any device capable of two-way communications, even those that do not have an internal clock (such as the T2-C).
The Clock driver also provides several variables that can be used along with image lists to display the time in a graphical format.

You can however load multiple weather drivers, which I did for an air line customer so they would know what the weather was in 10 different cities, I used the air port zip codes for this. but this wont give you the time

mmm the weather driver is simple - only use one driver and have a location page . on each location button you change the variable for the zip code and make it go back to the forecast page . on you home button make a macro that always changes it back to your home location ? easy. RTI OZ don't you have good tech support in oz to help you with this ??

If you can do this then its because of something in the new version of the software which allows for it. I was not able to do this with the prior software version and I complained vehemently about it to RTI.

Every time it would default to the master zip code that is set when the single driver is installed, and I actually just checked and it is the same parameters in the new software as in the old.

If you have actually been able to pull off multiple zip codes with one driver and made it work I would like to see a working example as even RTI says this wont work. It always defaults to the master zip code.

It was easy enough however to just just install multiple weather drivers each named for the particular city involved. I made a master weather page with a row of buttons on the bottom that displayed the given temp for each location simultaneously, clicking on any of the buttons takes you to that particular zip codes weather page.

Yup just tried it, the location feature only works with the default driver zip code. There is no provision for multiple zip code locations with one driver, every named location will just end up being the same weather report with this method.

This CAN be done... Create a button and name it the City you want as a secondary weather location. Do this on the home page and have it page jump to your current weather page. Right click the button and select edit properties. Select the "Driver Command" tab. Now select "Weather, General, Set Location". Enter your new Zip Code in the "Location" field.

This will do a Push on ALL theather info. You'll have to reverse this to get you original location back.

NOW do I recommend this. It depends on how often you look at this information. If your client is always looking at different locations then I would recommend creating multiple instances of the weather driver so the info loads faster. You WILL have to have multiple instances if you want to view two locations on a single page.

OK this is good. This did not work on the prior version of the software 4 months ago, so they must have fixed it.

However I would never use this feature, as you mentioned you have to flag it back to the prior zip code. By contrast, it is very simple to just load multiple drivers and give them each the corresponding name of the city in question, then its all simple drag and drop from on, this is very easy to work with and it only took me 5 minutes to set up 10 weather drivers.

The new set location feature looks very time consuming and limited in function.
