I have had success with this in the past but lately it seems that it is not consistant. Now I even found that one RF designated command in an RF button macro is coming out in IR. I had the IRF 6 unplugged and the device was turning on and off.
Past functioning mixed macros no longer send out the IR yet the same commands alone work. I have tried delays, repeats, and location swaps.
I don't know what is actually in the RTI since it never did load back to the computer for a verification. One of those software things they (RTI) told me they have yet to work out. (maybe 6-9 months ago) Has anyone ever used this feature?
Does making the whole button IR (the remote is RF) and then specifying each command as IR or RF do any good vs using Default RF and specify IR when needed. I only have the projector on off and screen up down in IR to deal with.
Sure could use some experienced advice.
Thanks,
Rick

Rick: I use rf as the default as most of my equipment is out of sight! I set rf commands one at a time in macros or for single hard buttons. I only have my RPTV on rf commands. Since pointing the remote only has meaning for rf commands it may be that you forget to point it for the few times it is important. Puting the rf commands first in macros will help if this is part of your troubles. Uploading what is in your T2 is usefull in troubleshooting. Two other things that help me keep track of my ever evolving program is my note taking and using version #'s in my saves. I also put the version # on my main menu page. I wish the program would do version #'s automaticlly. I talked to RTI about this, they like the idea but who knows when it might happpen.

I think I have found the solution for my problem. My remote is in the RF mode overall as most all commands are RF based. Only the Projector on/off and screen up/down are IR. I assumed that overiding the default in those macros (based in RF) with those (above)commands designated IR should do the trick. Seems that that was not correct. Sometimes it did work (I think) but I have found that for sure it will if I change those buttons with IR commands in them to IR based buttons and designate each command within the macro as IR or RF.
Was that spelled out anywhere that I should have picked up on it? What a bunch of time I have wasted!
Hope this helps somebody.
Rick
