I am new to two-way and really want to experiment with some fan and lighting controls. Any tips on brands I should look at? I'd like to find light switches that also provide some form of computer interface and two-way communication wirelessly as about 95% of my work is retrofitting solutions in existing homes.

Funny...I guess the best way to have phrased it was who has the best selection of zigbee/rti compatible switching for retrofits when Cat5 drops and the such are not an option.
