They have developed a program to help with writing drivers....it will go out to the manufacturers first then to everyone else and there will still be a test to pass.

I wonder how this will work with the ZRP6. Will you be able to do both ZRP6 and the XP-8?

RA2 by next week....driver

I usually double whatever time frame RTI comes up with. I think this is one of the rare moments RTI has come through with what they've promised and I like it. Keep it coming!

I will say that I dropped off a couple of remotes last week for repair and they are good taking care of the problem. It's been a very positive experience every time I've had to go there for repairs and I feel like I should acknowledge some of the things I think they do well.

Motech...I had a long talk with Mike...the zrp-6 is not web enabled except to pull programming

seems like a marketing solution rather then actual technical limitations.
If th zrp6 can get on my local network what's stoping it from getting on the Internet?

I was also told it was in the works but the initial trainings will most likely be in MN as opposed to webinars. I assume this will weed out those that may not be so serious and eliminate a lot of tech support calls.

Yes, Innovative was told during training that the driver would be available within the next week and it actually happened. I said two weeks not to be funny, because it sometimes gets old, but because they are typically way off their mark. I tend to double anything they say.

Motech...i think you need to talk with RTI on that issue.....They say the zrp6 was never meant to run with the internet and i never heard them say that it would....I can understand that it wouldn't have the processing power of the XP-8, and even though it can get ethernet it does need the processing power to run certain applications and the weather is an application IMO

so its got the power to control a radiora2 system with two way, but not to download simple bits of information from the internet . . even though its got a network port, and is on a network already.

its a marketing thing.
has nothing to do with power.

and no it was never promised,
and yes i still like RTI,
but its kinda lame.

I really like the emails from RTI! It's nice to know when they've released something or updated the drivers. I know they have a RSS feed but I don't always check that. When they released the PCM-8 I got an email saying they are going to have kits for T2-C/ZRP-6 and RKM-1's/MRP-64 (haven't checked with A#$D of this). It's nice to find out what's going on as A#$D doesn't always do it. Now if they could figure out their release dates and keep us updated of any delays via email I would be very happy. I'm slowly getting back on the bandwagon.

Can you find out:

Is a driver is in the works for HAI secuirty systems?
Whats the timeline for the rumored Iphone/Itouch app and virtual remote? When will the other in-wall products be two-way ready (specificially the RK-1s?)? Are any drivers similar to the weather (news/stocks/sports...etc) in the works?
