I previously had a thread regarding issues with IR codes double or triple hitting with a T2C with a Scientific Atlanta 8300HD cable box.

I tried:
1) Setting repeats to 0 and Sustain unchecked with the same issue
2) Gain all the way down combined with Step 1
3) Splicing in 50ft of Cat 5 combined with Steps 1 and 2
4) Setting every command up as a macro combined with Steps 1, 2 and 3

After doing the above the number buttons work 100%, the channel and navigation buttons work correctly 90% of the time with the occasional double hit.

I just added a T2Cz to the system using the same IR codes and it works 100% fine with out any changes to the the settings.

During my trouble shooting of the T2C I attempted to test the codes in stand alone only to find out standalone IR does not work on this remote. Could the T2C itself have an issue that is causing the odd IR behavior? Doesn't a T2C repair run about $275?

I have had a T2C that the IR went out in it. Only one though, other times it was me missing something in the programming, double and triple check everything. Easiest way to check to see if it's outputting IR is to use a digital camera, you can see the IR flashing when viewing thru the display.

I have the same problem with T2C double hitting when scrolling on DTV HR20-XXXX's Scoreguide as well as scrolling on Sony Playstation 3 using Schmartz PS3IR-1000. Using the exact same commands on a T2+ there are no problems, ever, with double hits.

I've confirmed this on several T2C's even with the latest firmware. It appears to be a defect in the way the T2C transmits some codes.

I'm considering just dropping in my RP-6 for this ONE remote for just ONE device :( in this system. I don't think they are too keen on another T2C-z as the handshake delay after sleep is annoying.
