Does anyone know anything about the new RTI remote that is suppose to be coming out next year? My dealer says he would give me a great deal on his floor model since the new one is coming out. I would like some idea before investing in the current model and then find that the newer model is even better. I would appreciate any advice you could give me. Thank you very much for your help.

The new one will be alot better than the current model, it's always that way.

Never heard anything about a new remote. What model is the dealer demo model?

Get a fresh battery if you get the demo unit.

You haven't heard of the ST-7?

ST-7 wont be available for probably another year

If you buy the dealer demo model make sure you get a new battery like the others said

I sooo can't wait to grab one of those.. i saw that on youtube, it has loads cool stuff, kinda looks like the new amx remotes. it will have an intercom aswell right? the password dock locking option is definately a seller to most of my clients

RTInstaller: you seem to be very knowledgable about RTI products, you had any scoop on when it could probably be out? I have a potential large job mid2010 which could require some intercom facilities in each room, on the other hand i don't want to be one of the "beta tester" of the product so i might need to wait a few months after its release :)

RTI projects Q1 of 2010. I project Q1 of 2011. I will also bet the intercomm feature won't be available when the panel is released. Probably 6 months after that. This is just my guess.

How many times has it been said on here, don't spec product until you can put it in your hands? If they told me it would be shipping out in a couple of weeks, I still wouldn't spec it, (see XP-8). That's why they don't give exact dates anymore, not many manufactureers do anymore, too many variables with equipment today.

Those are pretty optomistic guesses. :) I'm gonna wait 2 weeks before I throw out my guesses.

Yes ST-7 is slated for Q1 which translates to June (May if we are lucky) by RTI's calendar, I really wish I could get one of those calendars, it would make this process so much simpler

This has been on the cards for ages and I thought it to be dead in the water but
it would be cool to have an audio matrix that just works straight out the box..


Good to have better IR emitters - lets hope they stick better than the current
shipped ones...


This will be handy and will allow for Iphone apps to be developed...

This will be great - although Im sure there will be one hell of a lead time, having
custom buttons will alleviate a lot of problems we are facing with trying to sell the non screen remotes..
