I am sick of people bashing a company that has been very good to us. If you don't like it, then don't use it. Are they perfect, no, but who is?
Who esle does as many trainings?
Who else does a rewards program like RTI?
URC makes great remotes, but have you tried calling their tech support?
Prontos are nice, beautiful graphics, 2-way, but where are the keypads?
Harmony, well, no need to say anything.
Nevo, practice makes perfect, they need alot more practice.
C4, Crestron, AMX, and Elan make great products, but not everyone is able carry them.

Try this next time you feel like whining, do it somewhere else, because most uf us don't care. We are on here because we like RTI, and what it CAN do, not to cry about what it CAN'T do.

any news on when they are releasing two way drivers for a request iq or f series servers.......????? LOL!!! =)

understandable, shoudnt bash anybody but....if your a company that has alot of time and money invested in products over many years and have more problems than your supposed too, and tech cant help, and you have 70 phone calls into sales, and the regional managers/reps and noone calls you back......well i would be a little pissed and would love to rant.

this is good place for that cuz we listen to our fellow ci's and even if its bad or good we try to help or atleast listen. i do understand what your saying, no bashing thats wrong in its own place. I have my own problems with rti right know, i love them, stood by them thru alot of crap along w alot of other guys here.

sometimes guys like to rant just to get some feedback from someone to help brighten the day. A little reassurance help alot!

pesci, I agree with you. Ranting is one thing, bashing is something totally different.

On a different note, I wonder why they won't call you back? ;)

You are right, I can't think of another company where I have had to send back 38 units in a year. Yes this year!! But the year is not over...

This is an RTI forum, no?? Where should I share this misfortune then??

That would piss me off too Roddy. Hopefully if you stay with RTI you have a better year.

But I have to say my experiences have been pretty good with the product and dealing with RTI. I would like to see more but I understand that R&D takes time.

Again, ranting is one thing, bashing another. I haven't been happy with the number of RA's I've had either. But it isn't detering me, and I'm still going to support the product.

Many manufactures would have you believe that you are the only one experiencing a problem, when in fact this is not true. Or perhaps downplay the scope of the issue. Forums like this one allow CI’s to share their experiences and frustrations with products. This knowledge empowers us to make educated decisions about how we use, or chose not to use a product or manufacture. Gone are the days of just taking your reps/tech support word as gospel.
It is far less painful to learn from others trials and tribulations.

A little "up on your peddlestool" for my taste but basically what I have been saying the entire last year.

They are THE product in the category and my service calls have dropped 90 percent since I switched from press and pray URC to RTI. My referrals have increased a similar number.

Roddy, im fellin u buddy! im in the same boat. In last 2 Months, ive had on one job, a bad RP6, RM433, on another, 2 bad T2C's and 2 bad T1's for the same app. Another job w a bad T2C, and now i got a call yesterday from a lady who says shes having problems w a T2+!!!! Not to mention MULTIPLE bad ecb5 blocks that have a bad port or 2 on them but work because im not using all ports so i can move around a lil.

And yes, this is rti and we do let our issues and problems go here because of all our fellow users, kind of like a support group, or thats how i view and thats why i love this site. The company and reps dont do shit!!!!! OH I guess "ill send u some control bucks" will pass the time for them.
