Hey guys

I got some questions for you guys

I know some gurus have been able to control crestron processors with RTI remotes, how reliable is that?

is it possible to control amx processors aswell?

Is the lutron integration robust?

any security system integration on its way? - is the "wakeon" now available for k3/k4?

for the inwalls, does rti have plans to provide polished brass or various faceplates colors beside of black and white? ( recurring question from interior designers)

i kinda really anticipating for the 10in panel to come out which could be much cooler for high end home cinema.. i have been lurking at rti for a while, have been doing prontos so far for control but the way i see it i could actually use rti abit as a mini home automation..but from what i read, their handheld arent as robust as their inwalls..

i read on the website that the new st7 to come next year has EXTRA cool options such as password protection when attempting to detach from the wall and for the ice on the cake it will also have a mircophone for intercom..

Sorry for all the questions guys, awaiting your feedback
cheers

Hey guys

Hi there.

I got some questions for you guys

OK, shoot.

I know some gurus have been able to control crestron processors with RTI remotes, how reliable is that?

It doesn't take a guru, just someone who can follow instructions, there is a tech bulliton on what to do.

is it possible to control amx processors aswell?

Yes it is.

Is the lutron integration robust?

Very.

any security system integration on its way?

It's here now, been here for a little while, too.

is the "wakeon" now available for k3/k4?

Not sure what you mean.

for the inwalls, does rti have plans to provide polished brass or various faceplates colors beside of black and white? ( recurring question from interior designers)

Again, these have been out for some time. Colors currently: white, black, almond, ivory, silver, brushed aluminum, and black anodized. They just haven't had the deman, but I believe it is in the works.

i kinda really anticipating for the 10in panel to come out which could be much cooler for high end home cinema.. i have been lurking at rti for a while, have been doing prontos so far for control but the way i see it i could actually use rti abit as a mini home automation..but from what i read, their handheld arent as robust as their inwalls..

They are, just as long as you understand and work within the parameters.

i read on the website that the new st7 to come next year has EXTRA cool options such as password protection when attempting to detach from the wall and for the ice on the cake it will also have a mircophone for intercom..

You read right. Also you can set the optional dock with the passkey lock.

Sorry for all the questions guys, awaiting your feedback
cheers

Hope this helped.

hey buddy
thanks ever so much for taking time to reply all my questions.. about the wakeon i mean per say the ability for the keypad to wake up from standby and display the front cam feed when someone rings the door bell

for the bezel it would be great to get some polished brass or other shinny type of bezel. i have had a interior designer picking a crestron system for the simplest work just for the simple reason that it had a bezel that matched the room and a good looking UI.. don't get me wrong i like crestron but i felt that it was an overkill for that specific job

also when you mean "work within the parameters.".. don't quite get it, I have sold tsu94-9600 to clients and never got that sort of issues I see folks complaining about the rti handheld under no circumstances.

also going back to controlling amx and crestron processors, I take it the rtis can do everything the crestron panels would (including 2way?) at a fraction of the price?

thanks in advance

RTI is being used as a 1 way with Crestron or AMX.

That's not happening yet. I take that back, it looks like it is now with the latest updates.

I agree, more choices would be nice, even if they were special order.

also when you mean "work within the parameters.".. don't quite get it, I have sold tsu94-9600 to clients and never got that sort of issues I see folks complaining about the rti handheld under no circumstances.

433 and and Zigbee are two different systems and get set up differently. Alot of the complaint stem from trying to have the Zigbee remotes behave just like the 433 ones, and not setting them up correctly. Not all, but alot.

also going back to controlling amx and crestron processors, I take it the rtis can do everything the crestron panels would (including 2way?) at a fraction of the price?

You can't take it, because it only works with the 433 remotes which are only one-way. Most people who integrate them use the lower model RTI's for basic control in extra rooms.

thanks in advance

You can do it with the latest software release on the K4 and K3.

hey thanks for that bud

Also after doing the search on this forum it seems that rti's unable to control any lighting control on a 2way basis? I'd only sell lutron and Rako (british designer lighting)

I could be wrong so perhaps someone could light me up on that? I think I might have to book an rti training session and see the hardware full capabilities

They have 2 way drivers for Lutron that work fine for most applications.
