With Crestron you can have portions of the page be 'sub pages'. So lets say your navigation menu is 100px high and 640 wide. You can create a sub page that size and have it appear anywhere on the 640X480 panel. This is a nice feature for commonly used items like a clock, navigation menu, volume control etc. Some, maybe most GUI guys make everything a subpage and drive them with programming. Making volume control only appear when a source is actually on. Giving you the ability to hide or show specific controls. Is this possible with RTI? My RTI skills are limited to the T2-C and i was wondering if the t4 or k4 had these capabilities. I havent been keeping up with 2way news so i am asking those of you who are. Thanks

Stamp, I know you can do pop ups such as room muted and volume bars, but not sure on the subpage with buttons here is a link to a training video [Link: rticorp.com]

I am working on a design like that using flags to have subpages pop up. Takes some time but can be done.

FASTLS I starting doing this as well but stopped because it took to much time. The original thought was to have a menu bar and when you pressed sources it would bring up a list just above the button. It got to be real page heavy for a touch panel controlling multiple zones. It can be done though.

I've just been using pageflips as my pseudo "popup's" . I would love it if we were able to have section for navigation features but haven't seem to come across it yet. I made them as translucent as possible, depending on your monitor you might not be able to see but on the T3-V's you can see through them

invisible buttons will work for all of that triggered visible by XP8 system flags or driver feedback variables. It gets kinda clunky if you have a lot of invisible buttons but for the navigation bar that pops up a list above it when pressed this is quite easy and probably not too bad. It gets hairy when the invisible buttons overlap eachother and/or are completely on top of each other. It isn't a full subpage substitute but for smaller items like your volume, weather, clock, etc it works very well.

am i crazy, didnt i comment on this thread a few days ago? looks like mine and a few others are missing.
i must be crazy.
with RTI two way you can choose to show or hide graphics based on variables . . so you can have a button on a page or a set of buttons on a page only show if the xm tuner is on, etc

The button up the top next to the help cursor (in ID) with a picture of a half invisible/half blue capsule on it shows and hides buttons and graphics that have their visibility driven by flags. Makes doing this sort of thing a bit more manageable but it's nothing like VT pro.

This can be mocked on RTI with variables and with a lot of work. Definately NOT something I would do without real purpose. It would be a great feature to make a subpage of different sizes that pop up within a page when called.
But right now, it's just something you need to work around if you really wanted to implement it. While you can create certain pre-conceived popups via 2-way (volume, mute and possibly others) that is really the only thing possible right now without going through the trouble of creating flags, seperate pages, and de-activating buttons.
