using 2 CT 600.3 in a system with XP8, K4's and RKM1 keypads.

On the touch screens I have buttons for specific radio stations which work fine.
But to allow preset + / - it seems to be tricky.
Before we talked with Tech support we found that pressing a button with a preset + / - command would move the station up, but it could go to a station that did not come in clear, and other times it would seem like it wasn't working. We found there were "blank" stations in the B&K set up that it was trying to access.

First tech support call reminded us that we can check mark presets to allow only them to be used in a zone. This didn't work well. Preset up and down still responded in a similar fashion.

Then we found from another tech support call that we would have to fill all 98 preset slots. Take 14 stations that come in well and repeat them to fill all the slots. Extra work but it sounded like it would at least solve the problems.
Sort of....
From any of the RKM1 keypads it does go up or down through the presets, of course you have no idea what station your on and I haven't tested to see what it will do if I get to preset #98. The odd problem comes from the touch screens with feedback. Here we can see what station we are on. It seems to work in two files. If I use the preset up and go to 98.1 for example, thats fine. I could then select one of a favorite station buttons, such as 102.1. It will go to the station and display the correct numbers. The moment I press a preset +/- button it moves 1 up or down from 98.1 not from the last station I was listening to.

Any B&K / RTI 2 way experts out there with any suggestions on how to correct this?

thanks

Pat

You could put the presets in a macro along with a flag for each station.
If flag 1 (99.4) is set then go to flag 2 (101.3) ;set flag 2, clear flag 1 etc.
Always have one flag set to continue the loop or always have it go to station 1 flag 1 when you select radio. (your favorite station)

This would be fine but the more presets you have the more work it would be. This would only be for the RKM1 of course. No need if you have a touch panel with 2way feedback.

You would have to do flags for each RKM1, the commands are for the zone to select preset a, b, c etc. This would mean 8 keypads X the number of stations you need to be able to scroll through. Thats a ton of macros and flags, I did think about it.
Even on the touch screens, I give the client buttons for a few favorite stations, but the preset +/- do not go up and down from the favorite station selected, they go up and down from the last station you saw when you last used preset +/- buttons.
