Good morning,

I am having issue with XP8 controling a BK CT600.1 multi zone unit. I tried controlling it RS232 or TCP and it doesn't do squat. Please let me know if I am missing something? Your help is greatly appriciated, thanks in advance and GOD bless you all.

If you have it hooked up Directly with RS232 RJ45 to RJ45 the pin out is different. Check the notes on the B & K driver, the cable pin out is in there. If that does not work, just for kicks, use the RTI RJ45 to DB9 and the B & K RJ45 to DB9. If that does not work. Call B & K.

Use the RJ-45 to DB9 adapters. Make sure the RTI one is connected to the RTI processor and the B&K adapter is connected to the RS-232 port (check that it is in the right jack on the B&K) and that the Ethernet cables are good and not crossover cables. i use only RS-232 and have not seen any problems.

Can you connect to it with BKSuite using Ethernet or serial? Are you using 2-way? What controller are you using. Try changing the properties of a button on the controller and change the "Control System:" field to override: your processor name.

This is most likely your problem. Also, make sure you have updated firmware on the B&K and on the XP8. B&K didn't update their ethernet control firmware until this fall so if it's not brand new then the TCP control won't work.
