After being pressed, the select button returns to the up position very slowly and it is getting slower. Is there a spray that coul dfix this? Has anyone had the remote apart to see what could cause this? If so, is it fixable?

Also, i sent several emails to RTI and no response. Are they still in business?

Thanks,
Marc

Don't spray!! Even among high quailty electronic sprays there are some materials that are incompatable with any and all sprays. Also the gook can just end up some where else inside. RTI is still there although no 1-800 number. I've called a couple of times and was off the line with my information inside of ten minutes.

Update

I took the cover off and there isn't anything sticky on the rubber button pad. There isn't anyhting in there at all that would inhibit the movement. The button just seems bigger than the hole and catches. I think i just need a rubber new button pad.

RTI said to contact the place of purchase, avsmarts.com, alias etronixs, but eric there has not returned emails. they don't stock RTI on their website anymore.

Try making the hole a bit larger with some very fine sandpaper rolled up to fit in the hole. Make sure to clean out any grit before putting it back togeather.
