Guys - I just had a client add a second CT600.1 for expansion of zones. We had wired it and programmed the 1st unit as serial (RS232). Apparently, when you add the expansion of another unit you MUST use IR only which means i had to reprogram the whole system to IR from serial. All of the tuner direct presets were rs232 listed in the database. They are not listed in the IR database.

I cannot find the zone specific tuner presets. Only thing i have come up with is preset+ and preset-..... any help is appreciated it.

Why not control it ip? or add one more RS232 cable, and treat then separate. That's how I have 2 CT600.1's running. Then it's all just a matter or routing.

Unless of course uoy don't have a XP8.

Can't help on the codes, sorry.

Even if your using an RP6 and not the two way drivers, why can't you just use another port and RS232 for the second CT? Changing everything over to IR doesn't make sense.

IR FM direct can be done by entering FM,#,#,#,# for the station you want.

Jwalkup - thanks, thats exactly what i needed and they worked perfectly.

I am using RP6 - Sirroundsound - i thought the same thing about using another port for the RS232 but after calling BK tech support, they inform me that once you "link" the 2nd unit to the first - YOU MUST switch it all over to IR. And yes, that blows....since i had to re-do everything! This is a terrible oversight on their part, IMO.

Thanks guys -problem solved.

For future reference, if you use an XP8 and the 2 way drivers, you add a 2 way file for each CT and you do not link them if you use RS232.
I had problems with IP which I understand are fixed in the latest driver files.

I have one running ip (two in one rack actually), with no problems yet.

Yes, I was told using the drivers through IP was OK now. When 2 way first showed up I tried to use IP with 2 CT 600.3 in a system and we would loose communication, typically when using the tuner and getting the feedback from it.
Spent hours trying to figure out what was wrong, went to RS232 connection and everything worked, so we left it that way. Not long after they had an updated driver and I heard that using IP was stable.
