Hi All,

I am starting my first 2-way RTI project on Wednesday. We are doing a T3V with an XP8 and trying to get 2-way going with and Escient media server.

I am looking for any useful tips or suggestions to help make this project go as smooth as possible. I have probably done a hundred or so standard RTI projects and quite a few of them used RS232 one way including some code written by me.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Kurt

make sure to Merge Pages from the Escient demo file included with the drive.  I always forget and add the Oasis "music server" pages which have no commands built on them.  The Escient is pretty much ready to go.

Note that on the T4 Escient demo page they didn't click the checkbox for Use Highlight (or whatever it says) so when you first use it there is no highlighted bar showing you what is selected in the two-way list.  Easy fix, but annoying.

Make sure all your firmware is updated, loaded properly and ready to go. Do a refresher course of the 2-way video available on the dealer site. Allow yourself enough time to get acquanted with the intricities of 2-way and be prepared to make several tweaks to get it the way you want. Also, be sure to have a good understanding of teh equipment your using, the features and the options available via 2-way.

Good Luck
