I have a few projects where I can VPN in and update homeworks processors. But when I try to see the RTI devices, I can ping them, but can't see them on the device list in ID.

Has anyone been able to do this? I wonder if it's a limitation of the software.

TIA

I think I remember somone here doing but I've had no luck myself. When I go to upload the program the download bar comes up then times out. I think it was a bandwidth issue in that instance.

I have it working on a few jobs...I've never gotten ID to find the processor but when I set it to the IP it will take, usually fails 40-50% but it's still useable vs. driving out to the jobs everytime.

I've done it a few times, but never for a customer.  Always had to use the static IP address and I don't believe it ever shows up in the list when searching for it.  You just have to know what the IP address is.  (which is in the Properties page of the XP-8 anyway, assuming you set it to static, which I hope you did... :)  )
