Does anyone else have an issue updating their XP-8 via wifi? I'm hitting 50/50 on this and it's frustrating.

I've had a few glitches here and there, but WAY less than 50/50. Maybe once per job that I have to plug the USB and do it direct.

I've been working on one via wifi for days... TONS of wireless downloading, never a glitch.  Updated the firmware with USB and never plugged into it again.  FWIW - it's through a Pakedge W3.

That's the only way I upload the program after the firmware has been done that the wireless is up and running. Always been reliable and if it didn't work then my signal was weak.

No problems. Be sure the XP has a static IP address. If it is not detected on the download method, just type in the address.

im having problems updating the XP8 over wifi.

im running the latest firmware 2.1 and ID 7.1
im running it on my mac via parallels (bridged networking).
and im using an apple airport for the wifi (the UFO)

it gets half way through and then fails.

any ideas?
i should try it straight through with boot camp . .
see if that helps.

No, but I would highly recommend it, along with everything else in your system.

One thing I'll mention too is that I send the program via device...(Mac Address) not the IP. Not sure if it makes a difference but its always been good for me. Once you send the program once it'll retain the name you've given it.

Yeah I do that too.  I just click on "USB", then it sees the XP-8 on the network and I click "Use Selected Device".  I don't think I've ever had a hiccup downloading to one over the network.
