I know the aprilaire works with the xp8 for a standard application. I was about to install one in to my house to play with it. When 2 friends heard about this they wanted to know if it would work for their application.

I am curious if anyone here has experience with aprilaire and the following installations.

Scenario 1). Two furnaces and 1 in floor heating system. 8 thermostats. (current system in a honeywell).
Scenario 2). 1 furnace, 1 boiler, 1 in floor heating system 4 thermostats.
(not sure what the current system here is).

I dont have a boiler or in floor heating so i can't play with it before i sell it. I realize there are a lot of variables to the situations etc etc etc. Just curious what some of you guys have hooked up the aprilaire systems to.

We do have an HVAC guy that can do the furnace connections and anything else we need in that department, i'd like to know if it's possible first before i waste his time.

I have done a similar system as the first one. If you go to www.aprilairecontractor.com and call the tech support they are very good and quick to answer your questions.

From what I remember most floor heat setups are 24v on, which the aprilaire 8870 does. You will need cat5 at the T-stat location OR you can use the flush mount temp sensors on the stat wire and locate the stats at the furnace location with cat5 from there to your eq location.
