If it is really a T2 and NOT a T2+, then you are using the old Theater Touch Designer Software. I'm afraid you will have to drag and drop the new codes one by one to the buttons.

Be aware if you DON'T have the original file his remote was programmed with, you will need to "receive file from remote" to get started. Do not "send file to remote" untill you have recovered the file... otherwise you will wipe the whole thing and have to start from scratch.

Can you get to page two or three on ANY page? It could be the touch screen has puked on that one area.

How are you getting to the control panels first page? I know the answer, but it is important that you know, and can tell us, here at Remote Central.

By holding the backlight key for more than 3 seconds when the control panel comes up with only page's 1 and 2. Page 3
is missing. if i could get in to page 3 the first thing i should
do is copy whats on it remote now. is that corect? I'm alittle
scared i mite delete whats on it.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to answer us little

OK, You passed!

So when you press the arrow to go to page two, it goes to Tilt Switch, Prog. Lock out, change pass code. Is the right arrow still white, like there is another page there or is it shaded out?

Does the remote operate the system with the exception of the new DVD player? In other words, no other problems, and all the buttons and pages work?

Shaded out.
Yes with exception of the VCR, for some reason, it's like it lost
all the VCR commands. This customer's system is all Denon the
VCR is a sony SLV-M11/91HF. The old DVR was a Denon also.
I check the sony with the original remote control it worked fine. so i guess the answer is the VCR page and buttons don't
work. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to answer us little guys Thank You Mark

I'm stumped then.

I have some old T2's kicking around, and managed to find a battery that works for a while. I turned on the program protection, thinking maybe that would "block" out page three, but it doesn't. It only requires a password before it will allow the computer connection.

That said here is my advice:

Given the fact that you can no longer get batteries for the T2, and all of it's other shortcomings for "modern" gear, upgrade it to a T2+ or a T2B. The client will like it better, and you get to make some money. True you will be programming from scratch, but everyone involved will be happier.

Do not waste your time or your clients money reprogramming a T2 from scratch! If you were able to recover the program, and only have to swap the DVD files that would be one thing, but to do the entire remote over is not doing your client the best service. The current batteries have got to be on their last leg and even if you swapped out the cells, the tab will soon break of and then you got junk.

Contact your RTI rep and check into the T2 - T2+ upgrade program. This will be the best deal for the client. You will need to be a RTI dealer to get the software in order to program the thing... so if this is a stumbling block stop here. If you can manage the dealer portion you will find lots of help full people here at Remote Central and there are even training videos direct from RTI.

Good luck.

P.S. If you do have the existing T2 program file and simply need a working T2 I can help with that. I must have 5 or 6 laying around. I do not have a battery solution.
