im sending all the codes out via the RP1 to the equipment,
but i want to send IR out via the remote for the tv only
(power on, off, and input) in the macros.

i cant figure out how to do it.

i did figure out how to just send an ir code out
from the remote, but not part of a macro.

do i have to run an emitter to the tv?

put all your equipment commands inside a System Macro on the rp1.  put your button in standalone mode, put your tv commands in that macro, then call the System Macro from inside the standalone macro.

or you could run an emitter to the tv, but the more familiar you get with system macros the better you'll get at them and ultimatley your system will be more reliable.

there are some very simple and informative white pages on the rti website that can help you solve some of these little issues. make sure to look there also.

You just have to wrap you head around the idea.  The "tricks" you have to learn with RTI's software are NOTHING compared to other programming environments.  I still have trouble remembering if I want to set flags on the processor or on the remote.  I often go to test a flag in a macro that has to be in standalone mode, only to find I set up like 40 flags on the processor and can't test them from the remote...  But now with 2-way I'm having way less problems like that.  :)
