With the new firmware we have the option now to use RS485 for 2-way. On a K4 why would I use 485 over ethernet?

Because you may only have a single Cat5 running to your keypad.

A flexible option for two-way on a K4/RK3, and a necessary one for the RK2 and the RK1 as they don't have ethernet.

When will they have those two available? Those are more important to me than the RK3/4.

The RK2, RKM1, and RK1 have been available for over a year... pushing two. I would assume we are waiting on a firmware update to make them 2-way capable. Keep in mind that the 2way o these devices will be very limited.

I'll make some assumptions and say that RK2 will only be page flips and such. The other two will be nothing more than lights changing and volume level on the RKM1

I know they are available!

All I'm looking for is page flips and I'm suprised they weren't available with this current release.

Agreed. We use many of these in-walls to compliment RK3s and K4's. Find that they are hardly used as the are always out of sync with the system. They will be quite usefull once
they are two way ready.
