Can anyone help me out with Marantz BD7004 RS232. Can not seem to get to work? Any help or sample file would be appreciated.

I have tried those and it is not working. Do I need a null modem? I have tried with and without and nothing. Have tried 3 different cm232's. How have you gotten to work?

I gave up trying and ended up using IR, which works fine. Frustrating though, you design and spec an Rs232 port on an XP8 for this and have to change things at the last minute. Fortunately we had 1 open IR port on the project.

I have done a couple of these via 232 with AMX and the strings in that library are mostly correct(I only looked at a few) as are the baud settings(9600,E,8,1). These units control wonderfully via 232. Check your port output settings and verify that you are seeing the led light on the correct RP6 port when you send a string.

Got it to work using the RS232 port. Would not work with the MPIO port but did with RS232 port. Go figure!
