Kevin, I got it! Renamed it and it works. Thankyou.

For some reason the link Jason posted, whilst it is indeed a later version of this program, won't run.

RTI, this program seems to be excellent for generating RC5 from scratch, simply typing in the two or three relevant bits of info the program will spit out the Hex.

The Hex I posted above was in fact perfect RC5 hex, I think you clicked 'load from clipboard' which imported my Hex, then you clicked 'generate' but all that does is generate a Hex based on the numbers in the boxes on the left.

I am guessing you had all zeroes in the boxes and the RC5x box checked as this would account for the Hex codes you have been posting.

Both Versions work on XP.

The "Load from Clipboard" is for Generating Learnt Hex Codes from Pronto Short Form Hex Codes (e.g. 5000 0000 0000 0001 0010 000C) only.

sadly i'm hampered with Vista, i got the early version working though.

RTI, when you said you used this program for the Megalist, did you try the codes you generated prior to submission?

it's a shame we can't split this thread after post 15, as everything after that post has no relevance to Extron.

I have used the codes I have converted and they work fine as I didi those as I had need. The rest of the list was other librarys from other sources I merged, files submitted by others, or remotes I personaly captured, I know my files work, but I never checked the unknowns. glac went through quite a bit of it when he took over. As i have found bad codes, All I usualy do is use the validation tool to correct it and that typicaly fixes the problem.
