My house is on a Lutron Homeworks system. A Grafik Eye controls the theater and is integrated with the whole-house Homeworks system, but right now I only control the Grafik Eye manually. It's driving me crazy. How could I use an RTI system to link into the Homeworks and control the Grafik Eye? Would it take some pretty advanced programming to get there? Thanks.

There is an RS232 adapter and an IR adapter called a GRXIRI requires a shielded 4 conductor cable [Link: lutron.com] [Link: lutron.com]

would i have to actually run an IR flasher to the Grafik Eye unit, or to the Homeworks processor? I don't really want to run any wires to the GE. Since it's already on the whole-house system it seems like it would be fairly straightforward to tie into the Homeworks. Maybe that's what you guys are talking about with the adapters? There's now a Lutron Homeworks iphone app, so that what gave me this idea. Thanks.

An RP-6 or XP-8 connected RS232 to the Homeworks should allow you to do anything you can do with any keypad on your system.

Forget running an IR to the graphic eye, just run an rs-232 "straight through cable" to the h48 board. from there you can control the graphic eye or any other light in the house. I have it set to my blinds/shades, pool and fireplaces and im only using an rp-6
