Hi, i have to control a receiver Denon AVR-2310 and the most likely reciever that i found on the integration designer was the AVR-2307. Can i place it on my programme and control the AVR-2310 without problems or i need to get the .cml of the AVR-2310?

In the Mega 18 list, use the Denon AVRxx08 Z1 ID1 clean set and Z2 ID2 for 2nd zone

I just did a 2310CI last week

Clean means it was created with a 3rd party program and the codes are clean. When learned from a remote they can be dirty sometimes from extra lighting, buttons not pressed long enough or to long...ect, ect

Sorry...Should have been Z2 ID1 if your using the 2nd zone out for another room

Maybe this industry has made me jaded but shouldn't a company that "....delivers premium audio visual, home automation, lighting, shading, and technology integration solutions, with special focus on usability and custom design of interfaces for residential, commercial and high-rise condominium projects...." have someone on staff that knows the product the sell?

Denon code sets have been pretty static and reliable for years. Even so, it would have taken less time to test the codes than to start a post.

I am worried for this industry.

Denon is as easy as it gets to control, so yes it really is that easy!

Everybody loves to pile on - But I have a question back to the "control" aspect of the post.

I'm new to Denon and so far I like it very much and especially the tech support from Matt.

But on my Pio AVRs there was a very clear "Auto Surround" mode that did just that - Took the source surround mode and put that through.

On the 2310 I don't see that feature.  In fact I don't see all the various surround modes via the "surround mode" buttons, but just a few DTS and 5.1 stereo, stereo, etc.  They're in the manual as being available, but I don't know how to reach them...

What am I missing?

What am I missing?

Keep in mind. A true surround mode is flagged in the original content. Therefore, AUTO will allow the AVR to playback the correct Dolby or dts flavor of the encoded signal. Anything above and beyond is the magic of DSP processing.
