Hi all. I have a home theater setup that I installed, and I have been using the programmable Denon Aktis remote that came with the receiver. The Denon remote died and I have been looking at possible replacements. After reading the comments and reviews on the RTI remotes, I concluded that an RTI T2 or T2C would be the one for me. I was disappointed to see that the RTI configuration software is only available to professional installers. Is there any way to get a copy of the software? If not, I would welcome any recommendations about the next best brand that I can program myself. Thanks a lot in advance.

Universal Remote Control has a more flexible software policy. http://www.universalremote.com Verify that your dealer is willing to give you software before purchasing.

Hi,
I have a RTI T4 and I need to programme it to work with my TV. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a software? or even other software's that will work with the remote? I can't go to a dealer as I live too far and haven't got the time.
Thanks

Your best bet is send it to a dealer and have them load a program on it for you or sell the remote that is basically a great paper weigh unless you find an installer. These products are NOT designed NOR intended for the end user to program no matter how much you feel you deserve to.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I also have a Philips pronto TSU9600 with the pronto edit professional. Do you have any idea of how to programme it to learn from other remotes? The only button that I managed to learn and test on the programme is the power off on my tv and when I download it to the remote it still doesn't work. Could you please tell me if you have any idea if the pronto can control things like heating and blinds? Or could you please tell me if you know of any touch screen remote that is similar to the rti which has a internet and can do the same which the programme is available?
Thanks

I am an authorized RTI dealer based in NY. Although it is in my contract with RTI that I can not give software to any non-dealer, I would offer to do something like what was suggested where if you send me the remote and list of all EQ and other required info I could program and mail back. My email is [email protected] if you're interested.

Also to the OP, the T2 is gone for years now and the T2C also just was replaced in the Rti lineup. The current model is the T2x. Visit www.rticorp.com to check it out. It's very nice remote and now adds wifi, a grip sensor to turn the remote on whenever picked up and some other nice features while keeping the same price as it's older t2c it replaced
