Hiya,
Has anyone got two way control of an Onkyo receiver using the XP-8
and Zigbee yet? If so, please can you confirm what model numbers
worked.. Also, covered partially on another thread, have you managed
to get streaming control via the zigbee interface?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Hey Mo, funny you should ask that, b/c I emailed my guy at Integra this AM asking if I could get iradio metadata out of my DTR9.9 (since the GUI is not output out of the composite video jack when HDMI out is selected).

Unfortunatelly, the answer was pretty much "no". You can get a "now playing" metadata out of the new series, but no way to get out a list for scrolling.

I'm pretty dissapointed about that, makes it pretty much unuseable as a distrubuted audio source.

40.1 and up receivers have more 2 way capabilities

Yep. The post I made was in reply to a question I asked about the 9.9, but it's my understanding that you can not get "list" metadata from the new series. You need an OSD.

Pretty much makes zone 2 pandora useless b/c you can't controll it from anything but a TV.

Currently playing Artist, Album, Title, Time, Track, and Play Status now work.

Available from USB, Net Audio (streaming from another PC or hard-drive on the network), and Internet Radio sources (including Pandora, Rhapsody, SIRIUS iRadio, etc).

I am giving you this snippet to indicate the capabilities of this model and it's later to be announced big brothers. More info - talk to your rep.
