I have a customer that is using a Dish 722 and side one has been converted to UHF in the setup menu of the Dish receiver so one of the kids can use the Dish remote control.

Mommy & Daddy want to use the T2C remote which is sinked with a RP6 which is connected to the front of the 722 with IR Emitters. I can not get the Dish 722 receiver to respond to any IR commands coming from the RP6 for side 1.

I have checked that there is output on the port designated for the 722 receiver, verified that the IR emitter is operating correctly but still no response.

Can a Dish 722 receive both the UHF from the Dish remote control and IR at the front of the receiver from the RP6?

Thanks for any help.

It should work. Do you have tv1 set remote address 1?

If you push menu twice on the front of the receiver it will bring up the system menu. It will have TV1 UHF Pro and remote address. Arrow up to highlight TV1 and push record. That will put it on address 1.
There is a great need for a Sarcasm font!

Dish has been shipping receivers with all sorts of different code sets. I have just had this come up twice in the last 2 weeks, the first time it took me awhile to figure it out.
