Etronixs,

Are we still on for the end of the month? Or should we reel in our expectations?

Thanks,

DJ

the first batch of T2's were defective. Would not output the downloaded codes correctly. Maybe a little latter. Be sure if your ordering to get the QC'd versions.

Spoke to Dave Palmer this morning. The problem was range on the RF rec. This affected only a few units. A simple remedy on the RF gain was adjusted and so all is well. According to Dave the next shipment is scheduled the first week of June. This fokes are very responsive to problems in the field and like feedback that helps in making a better mouse trap, i.e. hex code direct entree. etc. We encourage them to make an IR version soon to compete directly with the Pronto. The great thing about RTI is that you can communicate with these folks unlike Philips who in my opinion don't want to be bothered.

Guess I'm confused. "We encouraged them to make an IR version soon to....". Will the first units be IR/RF?

SJHART,

We should be getting the IR unit & the IR/RF unit around the same time. Look's like around the first week of May now. Don't worry we will let you know when they arrive. THanks

Actually they have a time-travelling macro - very handy for missed TV programs :-).

What's THAT suPPOSED to MEAN? Are you implying that if we are well heeled full price buyers that we could get our hands on one today? What's up with the attitude?

No their not available today. But Ethan might be right. Those of us in the custom trade have many sold to our own clients and that any extras at any price have to wait in line regardless of the retail price. Extronixs by no means is standing first in line to recieve remotes and I guarantee you no one dealer is going to get all he wants for a while. Supplies are going to be tight. In my last conversation With Dave at RTI they have not make a final decision on a IR only remote. We hope that they do but so far have not even anounced any pricing on the unit to its dealers. So be warned by those that say they will have or it's going to be a few more days and want to take deposits. Let the buyer be ware

We have been informed from RTI that we will have a IR version only pluls the IR/RF.

I understand that you are a custom dealer. You may have many sold to some of your high end customer's waiting for the remotes to finish the system.

We do have current pricing from RTI and we have even held one in our hands. In fact we have sold one to a great customer by the name of Sam.

We do not intend to try to take your highend customer's away from you, we are selling them to customer's who prefer to shop on line and to customer's who use www.remotecentral.com

I belive that RTI or Sam will back us up here.

Thank you for understanding and I am sure you will receive the remote's & pricing soon.

Let me try to clarify. I received an IR/RF remote from etronics back in April. The IR portion of the remote worked perfectly but the RF did not comminucate with the IRF6. I sent the remote back to Mitch and they quickly changed the Rf frequency to work with the IRF6.
You can read my first review of the remote under the "$650 ++ Worth it? let the debate begin!" thread.

I can only say good things about RTI, Mithch, and etronics.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thankyou for your response. No one and I mean no one is trying to take any thing from anybody. But the fact remains that no product is available at this point or you guys would be screaming that you have product. Eventually product will be available and rightly so. I would just like to see all the hype calmed downed a bit because it gets every one crazy. Looks like Sam recieved the original version
