Does the T2 work with tihs system. I am thinking of buying it but want to add non-bose components which the Bose remote will not operate. It seemslike an easy multi-zone system, and if I can add a few T2 remotes it would great. My friend swears by the T2.

I don't think it's possible as the Bose 50 comes with a RF only remote. I think it's a crime that the very nice Bose remote is not a universal learning remote with some IR capability. I was at a customers, that has the same problem, and was blown away at both the capability and lack of capability built into this system.

Thanks. I was under the impression that the RTI also handled RF not just IR. I'm pretty new at this so I'm still finding my way.

The way it works is the IR is converted to RF, and then transmitted at a single frequency to the IRF-6, which converts it back to IR. The chances of the frequency and conversion protocol being the same is very slim. It can happen but unfortunately not with the Bose.

RF licensing is very strict and each device is certified for one frequency to operate at. This is different from IR, which is allowed a range to operate in.
