Anyone know how the weather condition graphic is supposed to work? As I understand, the condition is returned as an number, but what do you do w/ the number? It seems like you would have to do a variable test based upon the number but I don't see that function under the visable driver list and that would be a mess of 20 or so buttons stacked. Seems like there should be some sort of if/then for the button.

1) In Oasis look for the bitmap "weather conditions". 2) Right click and edit properties. Under variables there is a "Image List Object" tab. 3) Go to the day you like and pick "condition graphic"

I have loaded ID7.01

You need to "add" new driver in the XP-8.

Drag the proper image size onto the remote and then you can set the condition graphic.

Is the weather info transmitted via Zigbee from the XP-8? or is it Wi-Fi/LAN only?

Is there anyway to use the weather condition numeric values to run a conditional macro. for example: don't turn the sprinklers on when rain is forecasted.

You could do the rain thing using a rain sensor as a trigger on the XP8, I would think. That way if it doesn't rain at the house when it was forecast too then it would still water the yard.

Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;) |

I would suggest this also as a more reliable option for very local rain sensing. Most sprinkler systems here have a rain sensor or soil moisture sensor connected to them so it doesn't run during these conditions.

I finally got around to setting up my XP-8 & K4 and got the weather driver working. Took a few head scratches to get it going, but if you change 'Set Location' to your local city in Australia (ie. Sydney, Australia) and then change 'Set Unit Type' to 'Metric' then that should get it showing in Celcius. You can also add a few extra buttons to the page with different location labels and change the location and unit type via a macro. Very cool.
