Please see posts 1 and 95. Codes available in post 103. But like TRCGroup mentions as well as other posts, the + remotes have problems with the codes being consistent and reliable

The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase "Regards" again. |

I am still working on a work-around for this, pretty close to a solution.
Stay Tuned.

I have a unique situation. I wanted to see if I could use an RTI RK1 keypad with an existing URC lighting system. The dimmers are all 418MHz not 433Mhz. I need a basic keypad to shut off the lights when the customer is leaving a room &
How do you get the hex codes for the URC lighting? Do you have to learn them from ccp & set the lighting codes to ir instead of rf?
Thanks, Matt

There is no easy solution. The lights are RF only.
There is a way to use a URC TRFX-1, I think that was the part number. However, you will have to figure out a way to get power to it. I am working on a reliable and easily repeatable way to do this.

What I have found is if you code the switches with a 433 remote IE: T1B in my case and then use a + remote no issues, I have done 3 jobs like this and yet a complaint.

I have yet to try this, but I am very interested in this solution.
I have read the whole thread and a couple questions stand out if someone that has implemented this has time:
1) Someone mentioned that you have to have the macro/button in standalone mode - this doesn't make sense as the remote would be sending IR if a code was set to stand alone. Can anyone confirm or refute this?
2) Regarding the poster above me, what do you mean by "code the switches with a 433 remote [...] and then use a + remote"?

Can anyone confirm or refute this? This is true, it will send the RF code that the dimmer is looking for, not an IR code. 2) Regarding the poster above me, what do you mean by "code the switches with a 433 remote [...] and then use a + remote"? When you read the instruction manual for the dimmers, you will find out that you need a remote to assign the setting for each dimmer. So what vettr found out was that by using a 433 only remote to assign each dimmer, then you are able to control it with out any problems with the 433/zigbee + series remotes.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Makes sense.

I have used quite a few "+" remotes to program lights switches. All of those were using RP1s. I am now using a ZRP6 with zigbee and a T2C+. I assigned the ID for the lights switches using the "+" remote. The switches will not work consistantly.
I am going to grab an older T2C that is RF only and re-assign the IDs. I will report back so I can share my results with everyone.

I updated the firmware of the T2-C+ to 1.2 and the lighting control is working so far.
