Is there a work around to get the RTI T2C with zwave to control the URC lights? As in combining the RFTX-1 with a zrp-6?

I like the idea of 2 way, so I'm trying to stick to this particular remote as opposed to the RF only T2c.

If i'm way off, please no flame :) I'm going to the level 1 and 2 RTI class next week so I'm still trying to figure out the RTI products.

Did anyone test this yet? does it work?

What distributors are you using for the 433 Mhz. dimmers, AVAD doesn't list them on their site.

Thanks in advance.

PS: anyhomeneeds, sorry about the issues and compliants you were getting from the forum members here. Thanks for your discovery and sharing the info with us. I for one do appreciate it.

Darren
Thanks,

Darren

Looks like AVAD pulled the entire "i" series of products from URC, that included the 433Mhz dimmers.

If you call you area URC rep, they can point you to another disty that carries them.

Cinema....you have RC Mail.

Hi there, vbova27 and anyhomeneeds,

AVAD does have the URC "i" dimmers. It is just not something that they have readily available. If you call your local AVAD and tell them that you want to start ordering these dimmers. They will make sure to get some stocked up for you. If they don't send me an email and I will see what I can do.

Any fix for the dimmers turning on by themselves. I have tried all the codes and nothing helps.

Yeah, call URC and send it in to be replaced.

Guys, this is a great thread . . . keep it going. Couple of questions from me (1 of which has been touched on):

1) anyone get a zwave solution going between RTI and Lutron dimmers, more specifically:

T4 remote (RTI) > ZM-24 transceiver module (RTI) > XP-8 remote control processor (RTI) > ?cable? > RFTX-1 RF transmitter (URC) > MRFA-6MLV dimmer (URC/Lutron)

. . . or something like that??

2) can anyone provide or point me to wiring instructions for the MRFA-6MLV-URC and/or MRFB-S6AM-URC Lutron dimmers??

Greatly appreciated!!

1). I haven't tried it yet, it is on my long todo list however.

2) the wiring instructions come with the dimmer in the box. Otherwise you can download them from Lutrons site, they are the same as the Ra dimmers.

When someone has some time, please e-mail me the codeset and programming sheets. I read all of the posts and when i click on the links, they are inactive. This solution is perfect for a small media room.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Excellent thread by the way..

Just got my MRFB-600M-URC from Avad

I see the codes have been added to the master list.

As for the programming sheets I see this:
[Link: images.1stoplighting.com]

Seems easy enough, except I don't understand how scenes are possible, cause you need to press and hold 'favorite' which isn't in the command list.

Thanks for all the info on this thread so far!

Scenes are your favorites

Adjust the lights the way you want then press and hold the scene you want
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

I have a few URC "B" series 433Mhz that work with RTI remotes if anyone is interested... I don't do a lot of URC sytems that utilize 433Mhz. Only use 433Mhz if a situation calls for it or NYC installs.

Have about 4 available if anyone is interested. Work great with RTI.
