I've heard that the Davis CinemaTen DLP projector uses some odd frequencies of IR. Does the RTI T2 work with this projector? Does the Sony RMAV2100? I'm looking for a universal that will do the job.

Depends how "odd". Both the T2 and AV2100 cover pretty much the same frequencies.
