I'm having a bit of trouble with an IRF6 and a Nakamichi SoundSpace 10. The rf data light and emitter indicator leds stay lit (at a low flashing level) after a button has been pressed on the T2. If I shut the power down on the Nak the rest of the gear works fine and the rf data and ir indicator lights go out after the button is pressed. I am assuming the Nak is generating a good amount of RFI. Has anyone else put these two together? Has anyone ovecome an RFI problem, if so, how? BTW, I do not believe its related to antenna placement, I moved the antenna to the full length of the cable away from the Nak, still had the problem.

I had this exact problem. It ended up being a bad video cable between my pre-amp and my dvd player. Yeah, I know... how could that have anything to do with it? Seriously though, that was it.

Disconnect everything from your stereo. And reconnect one cable at a time... turn your components on, and send a signal through each as you turn it on. You will probably find that there is a combination of 2 powered on units causing the problem.

Another way, to be quicker, would be to turn off one component at a time until the problem goes away.

You could also have a ground loop... either way, it is easily solve-able given time.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunatly, it turns out that the Nak is the component that makes the problem go away when turned off, its also the one thats most important to control. As it turns out, I pulled the RTI and replaced it with a Niles IntelliControl. With 16db of attenuation inline with the antenna, I was able to knock the RFI down enough to get the remote to work. I originally tried this approach with the antenna on the IRF6, but the RFI seemed to bleed right through the casing of the unit.
