So I just downloaded Integration designer 6.2.1.1802 on a new laptop with Vista Home Premium and installed it and went to a client's house and connected a T2Cs and figured it would install the driver no worries...

Connected Remote
New Hardware Detected
Could Not Install Driver

Tried to manually install the driver out of the RTI folder under "Drivers" called RTIusb_install and it would not install manually. So apparently something is off, I brought the laptop back and can not get RTI drivers to install when I try to connect my T2C. Went to RTI's dealer site and could not find any driver's listed to download.

Anyone had this issue? Reinstall I/D again maybe?

Any help is welcomed.

Thanks.

Is the laptop a 64-bit processor?
Integration Designer will run on it, but the drivers won't.

@above, then why am I able to run it on a x64 laptop running vista business

And I'm positive that it's a x64 version of vista

However if that was the problem, then he should run a x86 version of vista (32-bit) or just run winxp, as I'm running my own modded vista. So that could be the reason why it does run on my system

I am running an AMD 64 Anthlon x2 processor with Vista Home Premium, but it's the 32 bit version, I ran into the same problem a few times. I just rebooted my computer, and if that didn't work, I tried putting the USB cable in another jack, sometimes it took a few times to recognize it and d/l the driver.

I tried once with a 64-bit Vista machine, and was able to run ID and connect to an RP6, but could not connect to a T2C. The drivers would not load, even after repeated attempts.
RTI indicated they (and others) were not available for the 64-bit version. This was back in October. Has anything changed?

Yeah, this is a 64bit version of windows but the ID software loaded itself into the x86 program files so I figured it should run itself without many issues. I will try plugging in to different USB and see what ends up, if not, call RTI and see what they have to say and let you know.

Thanks again guys,

RTI Tech Support said and I will paraphrase - "You're S.O.L"

Awesome, so now I have to take the remote back to the shop, download I/D on an XP machine and reprogram from the office and then drive back out to the site and they did say the RP1 and RP6 will install just fine... well half way there ain't bad right? They said the 64 bit driver will be out with the next release - joke as who knows when that will be I said they should just make and post a driver on the dealer site, but that would be too easy. Not sure how long 64 bit systems have been in place but I would think they would have a driver ready for it...

I better get some control bucks for the run around... Going to grab the demo MX-3000 and see how that acts now.

Thanks for the help!

It is getting increasingly difficult to buy new PC's that are not 64 bit: it seems most of the industry have resolved their compatibility issues

Question: does RTI ever intend to provide 64 bit compatibility

[and please don't tell me 2 weeks!]

Ok, now I'm running it on a new laptop that's also 64-bit, and it doesn't want to install the drivers either. Did anyone find a solution yet? Guess I'll have to do it using 32-bit XP on a Virtual Machine (hope that works)
