Hi, I have a problem with the RTI U1 remote. I programmed this remote and in the first everything seems ok. I can control all the devices perfectly. But 5 minutes ago the customer called me and said that the remote stops to work.
I use a RP-1 Controller with a ECB-5 Ir emitter connectin block. The customer say that the RF data led on RP1 doesn't blink when he pushes a button (as did before). This is very strange because only 5 minutes before and for 2 weeks when I test the U1, everything work perfectly. :-(((((((
He tried to replace batteries in the U1 but the problem still remain.
What's happen????
Could you help me?

Are there any other remotes in this system? If so ,do they work?

I always have the same first trouble shooting step with all electronics.

Cycle Power.

I have had problems with U1 in the past but those were different than this one. Mine got stuck and kept repeating codes over and over.
Don't read my answer. Someone else will go into great detail as to why I am wrong rather than answer the original question...

Another thing to check is where the power is plugged in...Is it in the ECB-5 or RP-1??

I have had a system working for a couple of days and then stopped due to a bad ECB-5, power was into RP-1 but the block went south, the RP-1 did show power but no commands blinked the LED, we replaced it with a xantech CB60 and all was fine

I have had another block go bad and power was plugged into the block, causing RP-1 to lose power.

or could be a bad RP-1, I havent had any Bad RP-1's or 6's but there is a possibility.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
