David,

The T2 software is Windows based and requires an RS232 port. RTI does not advertise any compatability with MAC.

Thanks Bill,

is the connection (RS232) the same as on the pronto?

If so, it might work 'cause the pronto works just fine.

david,

i don't know of any reason why it should not work with your macintosh/vpc. you can download the software and try it out. where do you live?

Bill,

thanks for your help.

You are the place where I will be getting it when you have special price for MAC users ;)

Michael,

software works fine on the G3. I was being cautious about up/downloads with the MAC.

Some windows softwares seem to have different communication requirements like baud rate etc.

Thanks,

david

david,

you can control the bps rate (technically, baud rate is not the same and people often confuse them) on the mac just as you can on a pc. if you have a good interface card, it should work fine for standard eia232 / v.24/v.28 (formerly rs232c).

Thanks for the info, Michael.

Btw, I didn't answer your question from your previous post...... I live in Newport Beach, south of Los Angeles.

Take care

OK. I live in the Bay area. I thought if you were close I could come by with the remote and software and try it out.

Let us know if you get it to work.

Michael
