Hi All
I've been using RTI kit for just over a year or so now and I have to say it makes everything else I have ever used (Pronto, Marantz, etc) seem like hobbyist rubbish by comparison!
Anyway, my problem (my first EVER RTI problem) is that my IR Pro seems to be struggling with a particular remote, a Future Automation Picture Lift remote, to be specific.
I've tried to learn the code and it says it learns okay, but when I try and use the code on the equipment, it doesn't work at all. The captured IR frequency is 38k, incase that helps anyone with troubleshooting.
The original remote of course works fine. I've even tried re-learning the codes from the RTI remote into the IR Pro, but the hex code looks quite different to the original learned codes. I've made sure that I'm not learning the codes in front of a plasma, by a bright window, etc.
What is even stranger is that I got the RC5 codes from the manufacturer and used 'IR Doctor' to convert them (
http://www.ir-toolkit.com/) and it still didn't work, although the code showed up in the RTI library as a valid code. The codes seem to be standard NEC codes by the way.
In the end I've given up and put in an RP6 so I can use contact closures, but I'd like to work this strange problem out nevertheless, if anyone can help?
Thanks in anticipation!
PS - here is an example of a non-working converted RC5 Code that I got from the manufacturer, incase it helps?
