Hello everyone. I am swallowing my pride asking this question so here goes.

I am an absolute newbie to contact closure and relays. Anyone that wants to give a quick lesson feel free but here is my main dilemma. The issue has been discussed in the main forum previously.

I need to loop a 4 minute video and have it continue to loop while any one is in the room.

We will be using:

RTI XP8
RTI RK1-4 (Back up/Override)
Honeywell DT-7435C Motion Sensor
DVD Player (may change to flash media soon, but not an option for now)

Plan:

Create a "start" macro initiated by the contact closure on the motion sensor that turns on tv, dvd, and starts the dvd loop. In addition a "play" command will be sent every thirty seconds.

Create an event that after 12 minutes (DVD looped 3 times) will trigger a macro to power the system down.

If motion is detected during the 12 minutes a flag will issue the "start" command again (basically just using the play command repeats. If motion is not detected for 12 minutes the flag will issue the "off" command.

Problems:

I dont know how to wire a contact closure. YIKES!

The RTI has a A+B Sense Input and the Sensor has NO (normally open), C (common), EOL (not sure), and NC (normally closed).

Besides a power supply, do I need anything else for the motion sensor? Whitevan?

Is the above macro/flag possible?
