Could use some help from you guys that use RTI products for your installs
Here is what I would like to, do and from what I can tell should work.

Install a RK3 in wall controller and use the new CPB-1 connecting block, with the
RS 232 output going to a DSC security system and a IR output connected to the imput
Of a MRF 350 to control audio system.

I have never used RTI and would like to know what the learning curve would be from
URC software to the new Integration Designer software from you guys that have switched from URC

Thanks for your help and comments!

1. The CPB-1 isnt available and probably wont be for awhile
2. Feeding IR into he URC might not work and would be a dowgrade to add to the RK-3 Keypad and could prove more trouble than its worth
4 Just go all RTI and mske things better all around for programming and control. Use and RP-6 with a CM-232 cable and do all IR routing with the RP-6, This would be your best bet in the long run

If you aready have a URC system and need a keypad, add a KP-900 and upgrade the MRF350 to a MSC-400
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

I ran into this situation at our store. We had an old MX-3000, MRF-350 setup before we went to RTI. We decided to put the URC in our secondary show room and show RTI out front. Our distributed audio equipment is in the rack of the secondary room but I wanted to be able to control all zones from our main room T4. I ran a Cat5 between the room (50-60 feet) and connected the MRF-350 to the IR output of an RP-6. It works great and saved the business a little cash on demo product. You do loose the IR port mapping, but we didn't have any conflicting codes. I did have to mess with the output levels from the MRF-350 to get strong enough output on the flashers but other than that it works well.

I used a pair of RK3s through the CB4 block, but for the family room used an MX850 and MRF250. The outputs of the two systems fed IR to equipment in the closet with Xantech dual plug emitters. Worked very well.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Intecon how did you make out with your configuration of both the RTI and URC in the same system? I might be running into the same issue as you. I have an MX3000 with an MRF-300 if I need one and then a T2-C that will be incorporated with a T1 and and RP1. Will have to play with it a little bit to make it work.

Would be interested in hearing how you made out.

I used the RTI RK 3 Controller, the RP 6 Processor and the RTI
Power supply for the touchpanel. I took IR out from the RP 6
And put that on the imput of the MRF 350. Works great and has not
Missed a command yet! I do only have some basic stuff programmed so
Far ( first time using RTI software ) but do feel confident enough that it will
Work as well as expected and have drywall knife in hand and ready to start
Install.

In the process of installing Leviton Vizia RF lighting control and after that
Is done and programmed I will get that on the RK 3 also.
After that will be the security system through RS 232

Thanks for all the help, I’m sure I will have some questions on the
Integration Designer software but I do like it so far.
