I went through a bunch of the banners and didn't see anything, must have missed them. Hence the "that I'm aware of" part of my rant. Sorry.

I'm just tired of the constant "LOOK WHAT'S ON EBAY" threads... They are just as annoying as the "Why can't I have the software" threads! Send the links to RTI and get over it! All it's doing is creating bad mojo.

If I were to guess the reason that RTI isn't in on that Vero program is that they don't want NEW products being sold on eBay... there is NOTHING in their literature that says you can't resell USED product (after one year, on accommodation purchases).

We have hundreds of RTI sales as well, and to this day I have not heard one person claiming to get there product from E-bay. To which I would not program anyways. We sell at retail, period. That helps to cover our customer service, which is the best I can give. If your Tc2 goes bad I am there with a replacement of whatever I have in stock as soon as I possibly can. This includes nights and weekends... And most of our work is referral based to most of our clients know this already...

Others here have regularly posted and griped about RTI on the web. I am simply doing the same thing.

I am a direct competitor, just as you are. However, it is likely you and most of the others, would not even talk to the people I sell remotes to, which are all DIYers. I am providing a product and service to a set of clients that most of you wouldn't spend 2 minutes talking with. So, no harm, no foul.

I don't sell remotes on the web. No prices on my site and no way to order, on the internet. I sell at list price and usually program.

I am getting just the biggest kick out of this website.

All I keep seeing are a bunch of grown men, and possible women, bickering. Have you guys ever thought that maybe some customers might get turned off by this, whom might have came here to find someone to purchase from??? Show some professionalism and create another forum that is not accessible by the general public that you all can use to bicker at each other.

BTW...I am on the consumer level...not installer or dealer.

So what? The world bickers. Congress bickers. Why can't we?

I would hope that a customer would check credentials, word of mouth, portfolios, etc and not rely on sweet talking on a blog.

I don't think the general public should be fooled into thinking that we are opinionated, stubborn, and argue our points. This is not unprofesssional - it's american.

So what is your business? What are you "consuming"? I have read some of your posts and it sounds like your just someone who is making some noise. I found a lot of the things you said, quite honestly to be completely ridiculous.

I also get a kick out of this website, probably a different set of kicks, but anyway...

You certainly drew a line with your first few posts here, and by they way, who sent you the invite to come and post here, since you of course have nothing of use to type...

I visit remotecentral.com becuase it is a place to converse with others in my industry, be it fighting, designing, bickering, sharing priceless info, networking with other useful installers and so on, apparently you come here for "kicks"...

With that said, either accept the fact that you are on "that" side of the line, or just log out and hit the red "X"...

BTW, if you are comparing your ancient T2+ w/ a harmony 1000, then you obviously have shown us your "knowledge" in this feild. Thank you.

This discussion has just ended.
