Well guys, I made another one…

This time, instead of making “please wait” or “loading” animations, I decided to make something a little more useful, especially for those who really care about people touching their equipment.

I made a Security Keypad interface, which completely locks up the remote until the 4 digit code has been entered.

There are entrance animations, exit animations & a lot of custom graphix/buttons in this file.

HERES THE FUN PART!!!

Download the Demo Emulator file here:

*Links removed, all graphics are being relocated*
Unzip the file, then start guessing away!

I made this download available to anyone who can crack the code!

If you guess the 4 digit password, you will be given a link that points to the zip file with all the Goodies, and by goodies, I mean the original ID6 file used to make the Security Interface, as well as a zip file with ALL THE ORIGINAL GRAPHICS USED for this project, the only thing that will not be available is the .PSD source files, which if you PM/email me, maybe I will share these as well.

I will be posting this on IP as well.

Good Luck and happy guessing, and if you ejoyed the artwork, please leave me a comment to let me know!

Thanks,
Joey

Do we get any clues? There are over 6500 possibilities to this puzzle. I like your work, but I don't think I can make myself enter in all these possibilities.

I bet you haven't even got to the point where you can enter a code (hint you don't enter the code on the T2 keypad).

Well, I dont want to give it away, but if 1,2,3,4 is the easiest, then it would be the 2nd easiest.

Not sure what you are implying? and yes I realize you use the screen.

Thanks Joey

Great work! I thought it would've been a lot more pages than 37 though. The crack animation was very cool.

I have never figured out how to get a press-n-hold to work in the emulator. I have tried holding enter... holding the mouse button down... or am I missing something and being dense... it does say hold the icon does it not?

Not to get technical..............but it took 6 tries for me to break the code!

Thanks for sharing and pushing the RTi envelope your work!

Sorry for the troubles guys, I thought this would've been a little easier, a BIGGER hint would be that the numbers 1-5 are NOT in the code.

The "X" on the first page is a 2 second hold, it should turn red when held.

I had to make this for ONE annoying customer inparticular, who had even more annoying children. But it has come in handy a few times.

I tried to keep the page count down because managing pages in ID6 can still be a little confusing around that amount.

Thanks guys.

I don't think I need a code hint, however, I still do not get how to do a press-n-hold via the emulator. I tried it on my own configurations and could not get it to work... never could in TTD... still can't seem to do it. I get brief flashes of red in some areas of the X but not much more than that.

Strange. I just held down the left click on the center of the X and the number screen popped up.

You might need to get one of these fine Oklahoma girls to come help you out. I got all my wires stripped for the next week so I can loan you one. LOL!

Not for me???

I just looked to see if there are any mouse properties that need to be changed but I found nothing. Mine is set to left handed operation right now but it does not work via the right handed setting either.

Troy, I had similar issues, I did a double eft click and held it on the second click and all was fine

Joey, Nice Job!! Pretty cool idea
